The Following of Christ

The one that loves much gets much accomplished.

The one that accomplishes much, serves the community rather than his own interests.

We may imagine ourselves doing good deeds in love when in fact we do them for nothing but the praise we hope to receive.

Whoever loves for real, envies no one, seeks himself in nothing, but desires only the greater glory of God in everything. He sees all good works as coming from God, the source of all blessing—our God, in whom we shall rest in eternal joy.

Whoever has as much as a spark of true love burning in his heart considers all earthly things as vanity.
