Even though they have grievously sinned, God forgives those that follow Christ and let go of everything they have. If they believe and are baptised, if they follow Christ, they will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and the power to overcome their flesh. Through this comes peace with God.
Let us come then, all of us washed in the blood of Christ and free from sin! With humble hearts let us walk the Spirit that will show us the right way and allow him to rule over us. Now that the flesh has died in baptism, buried with Christ, we are have become one body with him. How should we continue in sin?
If we have put on Christ we have died to sin. So let us, children of God, keep ourselves pure! Let us watch out for those that would deceive us! The one that lives right is chosen of God, the one that sins is condemned. Sin is of the devil, so look, vain world that calls yourself Christian while insisting that all of us must keep on in sin—unless you repent you will end up in hell!
Those born of God and joined to the body of Christ sin no longer! His seed stays in them and they keep his commands. If any member of the body does not continue in the honour of Christ, he cuts it off.
Christ is the true vine, we are the branches, and God the husbandman. He prunes the branches so they will bear more fruit. He trims out those that don’t and ties them in bundles to burn.
Therefore Christians let us confess Christ! If we will live with him we must also die with him. The servant must follow where the Lord has gone. Help us Lord not to give way to the flesh! Help us to hold to the right path!
